Tomorrow.
It's the day, the day I take my flight from John Wayne Airport to San Francisco Airport for my three day orientation at San Jose State University.

WOAH MAN.

You know what that means?

That means that on Wednesday, after a three-day-long orientation, I'll be on a flight to TOKYO.

Then from there ... well.
From what I've heard, I'll be living with a family with two kids [boy: 8 yrs, girl: 7 yrs], a mother who's a housewife [typical Japanese family?] and a father who's a doctor. The doctor part I find a little intimidating for some reason, but I'm guessing that's just me.

They live in the suburbs of Sapporo [yes, like Sapporo beer. OTL], which is on the Northern-most island of Hokkaido.

Apparently Hokkaido is absolutely gorgeous.

Haha, my Japanese sensei put it this way, ever so eloquently, "It's like the, ahh, what do you call it? Oh! Idaho. It's like the Idaho of Japan." among other things involving potatoes and such, but of course, I was outside taking the final and only caught snippets of the conversation. [Snippets. Can't decide whether I hate that word or not.]

Anyway, these past weeks have been pretty literally insane, brain-melting, confusing, and utterly unprecedented as well as exciting.

I keep forgetting what I'm doing all this for, then at random times it'll hit me and I'll pause, and say: "... holy shit, I'm going to JAPAN!"

Yeah. It's kinda hard to really quite comprehend this all.

Anyway, other than updating you, the point of this journal was to tell you that for the next month and a half to two months, I shall be on HIATUS.

This is really a first for me, because I'm determined not to check it while I'm there.
Honestly.

It's my goal to break the addiction, haha.

[on another note, I'll be missing 7 weeks of Hetalia! WHAT WILL I DOOOO?!]

Uhm. I can't remember what else there is to talk about.

I guess I love you guys, and I'll make sure to come back not sucking so bad at art? [pfffft, like that'll happen.]
